Welcome to Dr Christos Tsirogiannis who has joined the Trafficking Culture project as Research Assistant on May 26th.
Christos graduated from the University of Cambridge with a PhD in Archaeology in 2013, and is a well-known researcher and commentator on the illicit antiquities trade. Prior to completing his PhD, Christos worked for the Greek Ministries of Culture and Justice, and for the Greek police Art Squad. In July and August this year he will be the Association for Research into Crimes Against Art (ARCA) writer-in-residence in Amelia, Italy, where he will also teach on ARCA‘s Postgraduate Certificate Program in Art Crime and Cultural Heritage Protection.
