Jessica Dietzler an invited discussant at Royal United Services Institute Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies

Jessica Dietzler was invited by the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies to participate as a roundtable discussant in ‘Fighting Terrorist financing: the threat from Cultural Destruction and ISIS’. Discussion focussed on the need for new security strategies and international action to prevent extremism and its funding through the destruction of cultural heritage. The meeting was attended by the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, as well as members of UK government and antiquities trade representatives, and was broadcast live in the BBC. The event took place in Whitehall, London, on 2 July 2015.
